HEDDA GABLER by Henrik Ibsen. A newlywed struggles with an existence she finds devoid of excitement and enchantment. Set in the Jørgen Tesman’s villa, Kristiania, Norway; 1890s. The setting features soaring 20 foot tall walls with a massive and oppressive cornice. The drapes were constructed from 24 ounce eggplant velour.
